Vehicle Repatriation to the UK
Your car has broken down or been damaged on the continent, and you need to get home. We collect it from the garage, the pound or wherever it is in Europe, bring it across the Channel and deliver it to your home or your own garage in the UK, for a fixed price agreed upfront.
How it works
- First, get the car somewhere safe. After a breakdown or accident abroad, the car is usually taken to a local garage or pound first. On French motorways, for example, only the official breakdown operator may tow you off the motorway, so that part is always done locally.
- Contact us. Tell us where the car is (the garage name and address if you have it), the make and model, whether it rolls and steers, and where it needs to go in the UK.
- Get a fixed price. We quote a fixed price for the whole journey, door to door, before anything is booked.
- We bring it home. Your vehicle is collected on a transporter, brought across the Channel by ferry or the Eurotunnel, and delivered to your home, your own garage or a dealer of your choice.
What we need from you
- The address where the vehicle is now, and a contact there (garage, pound or hotel).
- The keys, or confirmation that they're with the garage.
- Your V5C logbook details, so we can show the vehicle is yours.
- A note telling the garage it may release the car to us, and any garage or storage fees settled.
Insurance and European breakdown cover
Many European breakdown policies include repatriation of the vehicle if it can't be repaired within a set number of days. Check your policy or call your insurer first. If you're not covered, or your insurer asks you to arrange it yourself, we'll give you a written quote you can send on to them.
Cars bought abroad, too
Bought a car in Europe, or moving back to the UK? We also transport running and non-running vehicles from the continent to the UK. The import and registration paperwork is your responsibility, but we take care of getting the car here.

Repatriation FAQs
How much does it cost to bring my car back to the UK?
It depends mainly on the distance, the vehicle and whether it rolls. We give you a fixed price for the whole journey before anything is booked, so you know exactly where you stand.
How long does repatriation take?
It depends on the distance and the crossing schedules. When we quote, we'll also tell you roughly when your car can be collected and delivered.
Can you bring back an accident-damaged car that doesn't roll?
Yes. Tell us that it doesn't roll or steer when you ask for a quote, so the right equipment is used for loading.
Do I need to travel with the car?
No. You can fly or take the train home. We collect the car from the garage and deliver it to the UK address you give us.
Need Your Car Brought Home?
Send us the location of your car, the make and model, and where it needs to go in the UK. We’ll come back to you with a fixed price.
