Breakdown Recovery in Manchester
From a flat battery in a city-centre car park to a breakdown on the M60, we arrange recovery anywhere in Manchester and Greater Manchester, 24 hours a day.
From £125 · 24/7 · often with you in about 30 minutes (depends on location and traffic)
The city centre
Central Manchester is a tight grid of one-way streets, bus gates and Metrolink tram lines, especially around Piccadilly, Deansgate and St Peter's Square. If your car stops here, the first job is to get yourself somewhere safe, away from the trams and buses, and then tell us the street name and nearest landmark. Recovery vehicles have to work around tram tracks and restricted turns, so a precise location makes a big difference.
The Mancunian Way and the inner ring road
The Mancunian Way (A57(M)) is a short, elevated urban motorway along the south side of the city centre, with fast-merging slip roads and almost no room to stop. If you break down on it, hazards on, stay in the car with your seatbelt on if you're in a live lane, and call 999 if you're in danger. Once it's safe, call us and we'll arrange recovery.
The M60 ring road
The M60 runs for about 36 miles around Manchester, passing Stockport, Sale, the Trafford Centre, Eccles, Prestwich, Middleton and Denton. Its junctions are numbered clockwise from Stockport. On the north side it shares the road with the M62, and on the west it crosses the Manchester Ship Canal on the high Barton Bridge. When you call, tell us your junction number and whether you're going clockwise or anticlockwise.
The airport and the M56
The M56 links the city with Manchester Airport and Cheshire. If you've broken down on the way to a flight, tell us: we can take the car to a garage or home while you carry on with your journey.
Broken down near a tram line? Get yourself and any passengers well clear of the tracks and the road. Never wait between the car and the tram lines. Put your hazard lights on and call us with the street name and nearest tram stop.
Across Greater Manchester
We cover the whole of Greater Manchester, including Salford, Stockport, Trafford, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside and Wigan. Breakdowns in residential streets, retail parks and the Trafford Centre car parks are just as welcome as motorway jobs. Tell us about any height limits or access restrictions if you're in a multi-storey car park.
