Breakdown Recovery in Cardiff
We arrange recovery anywhere in Cardiff and the surrounding area, from the city centre and Cardiff Bay to the M4 and the Valleys roads, 24 hours a day.
From £125 · 24/7 · often with you in about 30 minutes (depends on location and traffic)
The city centre and event days
Central Cardiff is compact, with a lot of bus lanes, pedestrian streets and one-way routes around Queen Street, St Mary Street and the castle. The Principality Stadium sits right in the middle, and on match and concert days large areas of the centre are closed to traffic. If you break down in town on an event day, let us know when you call so we can plan the best way in.
Cardiff Bay and the Butetown Tunnel
Cardiff Bay is linked to the city centre and the A4232 by the Butetown Link, which includes the Butetown Tunnel. If you break down in the tunnel, put your hazards on and, if you can't get out safely, stay in the car with your seatbelt on and call 999. Once you're out and safe, call us for recovery.
The M4, A48(M) and A470
The M4 runs around the north of the city, with junctions 29 to 33 serving Cardiff. The A48(M) links junction 29 with the eastern side of the city, the A470 heads north from junction 32 into the Valleys towards Pontypridd and Merthyr Tydfil, and the A4232 Peripheral Distributor Road connects junction 33 with Cardiff Bay. When you call, tell us which of these roads you're on, the nearest junction and your direction.
Broken down on a busy Cardiff road? Hazard lights on, then get yourself and any passengers onto the pavement or behind a barrier, away from traffic. Call us with the street or road number, the nearest junction or landmark and which way you were heading.
Around Cardiff
We cover the whole city and the surrounding area, including Llandaff, Canton, Roath, Llanishen, Penarth, Barry, Caerphilly and Pontypridd, as well as Newport to the east. Whether you're on a residential street, at a retail park or in a city-centre car park, call with your postcode or a nearby landmark.
Cardiff Recovery FAQs
