Repatriation from Calais

Car Repatriation from Calais to the UK

So close to home, and yet your car won't go any further. Whether it broke down in the queue for the ferry, near the Eurotunnel terminal at Coquelles or on the A16, we collect it in Calais and bring it across to your home or garage in the UK.

The quickest repatriation there is

Calais is right on the Channel, with ferries to Dover from the port and Le Shuttle from the Eurotunnel terminal at Coquelles, just off the A16. That makes it the quickest place in Europe to bring a car home from, often much quicker than waiting for a French garage to find parts for a British car.

Port, terminal or motorway

  • At the ferry port or the Eurotunnel terminal: tell the port or terminal staff first. They move broken-down vehicles inside the site. Once the car is outside, we take over.
  • On the A16 or A26 motorways: only the official motorway breakdown operator may tow you off the motorway. Use the orange emergency phones or call 112. They'll take the car to their garage, and we collect it from there.
  • In town, at a hotel or at a car park: send us the address and we'll collect it.

We speak French

We can deal with the Calais garage, the recovery company or the hotel directly in French, so you don't have to. Just give us their name and phone number. You can carry on home as a foot passenger or by coach.

Missed your crossing? Your ferry or Le Shuttle ticket is with the operator, so contact them about your booking. We'll handle the car separately and deliver it to your UK address.
