Car Repatriation from Lyon to the UK
Lyon sits on the main holiday route between the Channel and the south of France, and the Alps aren't far away. If your car breaks down or is damaged in or around Lyon, we bring it back to your home or garage in the UK.
On the Autoroute du Soleil
The A6 from Paris and the A7 to the Mediterranean, together the “Autoroute du Soleil”, pass right through Lyon, including the Fourvière tunnel, a notorious bottleneck in summer. Long queues in hot weather mean plenty of overheating and breakdowns, especially for heavily loaded holiday cars and caravans.
Off the motorway first
On French motorways, the official breakdown operator for that stretch tows you off the motorway to their garage, at a regulated price. Use the orange emergency phones or call 112. Once the car is at the garage, send us the address and we'll bring it home.
Where we collect from
We collect from Lyon and the surrounding area, the Rhône valley down towards Valence, and towards the Alps (Grenoble, Annecy, Chambéry). Lyon has a low emission zone (ZFE) that needs a Crit’Air sticker to drive in, including for UK cars, but that doesn't affect a collection by transporter.
Towing a caravan? Tell us when you ask for a quote. A car and a caravan may need to be moved separately, and we'll plan for that.
