Car Repatriation from Switzerland to the UK
Whether you drove out for skiing, a summer in the mountains or on the way to Italy, a breakdown in Switzerland can leave you stranded far from home. We collect your car and bring it back to your home or garage in the UK.
Mountains, tunnels and winter
Many breakdowns in Switzerland happen on mountain roads and in winter: steep climbs, cold starts, snow and long tunnels such as the Gotthard. A local recovery service usually takes the car to a garage first. From there we collect it and bring it home.
Where we collect from
We collect from all over Switzerland: Geneva, Lausanne, Bern, Basel, Zurich, Lucerne, and the ski resorts in the Valais, the Bernese Oberland and Graubünden, as long as the car is somewhere a transporter can reach.
Good to know: Swiss motorways need a vignette, and Switzerland isn't in the EU, so carry your vehicle documents. Neither affects a repatriation, but it's worth knowing if you're driving a hire car on afterwards.
How it works
Send us the location, the make and model, whether it runs, and the UK delivery address. We quote one fixed price for the whole journey, collect the car and bring it back through France to the Channel. In French-speaking Switzerland, we can deal with the garage in French.

Can you collect from a ski resort?
Usually, yes, as long as the car is somewhere a transporter can reach safely. Some car-free resorts are an exception. Tell us exactly where the car is and we'll confirm.
How long does it take?
Timing depends on the location and the season. We'll give you an expected collection and delivery time with the quote.
Can my insurance cover the repatriation?
Many European breakdown policies include Switzerland. Check with your insurer. If you need to arrange it yourself, we'll give you a written quote.
