Car Repatriation from Spain to the UK
Spain is one of the most popular places for British drivers to take their car, whether that's a long holiday, a second home or a move abroad. If your car breaks down or is damaged there, we bring it back to your home or garage in the UK.
A long way from home
From Málaga or Alicante, the drive back to the UK is well over 2,000 km. When a car breaks down that far away, getting it repaired locally can take a long time, especially for parts or bodywork. That's when many people choose to have the car brought home and repaired by a garage they know.
Where we collect from
We collect from all over Spain: the Costa del Sol (Málaga, Marbella), the Costa Blanca (Alicante, Benidorm), Murcia, Valencia, Barcelona and the Costa Brava, Madrid, and the north coast around Santander and Bilbao. Cars stored at a garage, a pound, a holiday home or a car park are all fine, as long as someone can give access.
How the car comes back
Depending on where the car is and the timing, it either travels north through France to the Channel or comes back on one of the long ferry routes from northern Spain to the south coast of England. We'll pick the most sensible option and include it in a fixed price for the whole journey.
Leaving the car behind? Give the keys and a signed note to the garage or a neighbour, take photos of the car, and send us the exact address. That's all we need to collect it after you've flown home.
Insurance
Check whether your European breakdown cover includes repatriation. Many policies do if repairs would take more than a few days. If you need to arrange it yourself, we'll give you a written quote you can send to your insurer.
